Warranty Information
Team Impulse – Warranty & Aftercare Policy
Standard Warranty
Unless otherwise stated in writing, brand new products supplied and installed by Team Impulse are covered by a 12-month warranty from the date of installation.
This warranty covers faults arising from:
Defective parts supplied by Team Impulse.
Faults with our installation or workmanship.
Failures that occur as a result of an installation fault.
Where a fault is confirmed to be covered by our warranty, we will, at our discretion, repair, replace or rectify the affected component or installation.
Where a supplied product is covered by a manufacturer's warranty extending beyond our own warranty period, the manufacturer's warranty may continue to apply subject to the manufacturer's own terms and conditions.
Repair Warranty
Where Team Impulse carries out a repair to an existing system or vehicle equipment, the repair is covered by a 6-month warranty.
The repair warranty covers:
The specific parts replaced as part of the repair.
The labour associated with those replacement parts.
The repair warranty does not cover unrelated components, subsequent faults, or other parts of the vehicle or system that were not replaced as part of the original repair.
For example, if a fault is diagnosed as a failed amplifier and the amplifier is replaced, the 6-month repair warranty applies to the replacement amplifier and the associated repair work. It does not automatically cover other components of the vehicle's audio system that may subsequently develop a fault.
Customer-Supplied Equipment
Where a customer supplies their own equipment for installation, the equipment itself is not covered by Team Impulse's product warranty.
Any warranty relating to customer-supplied equipment remains with the retailer, supplier or manufacturer from whom the equipment was purchased.
Team Impulse remains responsible for the quality of the installation work we carry out. However, if the supplied equipment itself is found to be defective, any claim relating to the product must be made with the original retailer, supplier or manufacturer.
Where a customer-supplied product requires removal, diagnosis, testing or refitting due to a product fault, additional charges may apply where the issue is not caused by our installation workmanship.
Warranty Assessment & Fault Diagnosis
All warranty claims are subject to inspection and assessment by Team Impulse.
If a customer reports a fault, we may need to inspect and test the vehicle and/or equipment to establish the cause.
Where the fault is found to be covered by our warranty, we will carry out the necessary warranty work without charge, subject to the terms of this policy.
Where the investigation establishes that the fault is not related to our workmanship or a part covered by our warranty, diagnostic, inspection, removal, refitting or repair charges may apply.
Examples include faults caused by:
Vehicle electrical or mechanical faults.
Battery or charging system issues.
Faults elsewhere in the vehicle's electrical system.
Defective customer-supplied equipment.
Damage or failure of components not supplied or installed by Team Impulse.
Third-party modifications or previous installation work.
We will advise the customer of any applicable charges where reasonably possible before carrying out chargeable work.
Warranty Exclusions
Our warranty does not cover faults or damage resulting from:
Accidental or physical damage.
Misuse, abuse or neglect.
Water ingress or liquid damage.
Incorrect operation or failure to follow manufacturer instructions.
Normal wear and tear.
Modifications or alterations made after installation.
Repairs, modifications or interference carried out by another person or company.
Faults caused by other aftermarket equipment.
Vehicle electrical faults, including battery, charging, wiring, CAN-bus or other vehicle network faults.
Incorrect installation or wiring carried out by a third party.
Products supplied by the customer that are defective or incompatible.
Damage caused by attempting to repair or alter equipment without our authorisation.
Theft, vandalism or other external damage.
This list is not exhaustive. Warranty coverage will depend on the cause of the fault and the individual circumstances.
Existing & Factory Equipment
We cannot provide a warranty for original vehicle equipment, factory-fitted components or pre-existing aftermarket equipment that has not been supplied by Team Impulse.
Where we work alongside existing equipment, we will take reasonable care during the installation. However, we cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing faults, deterioration or failure of equipment that was already present in the vehicle.
If existing equipment is found to be faulty or incompatible during an installation, additional work or charges may be required.
Removal, Diagnosis & Refitting
Where equipment supplied by a customer or a third party develops a fault, Team Impulse may need to remove the equipment to establish the cause of the problem.
Unless the fault is confirmed to be due to our workmanship and is covered by our warranty, charges may apply for diagnosis, removal, repair and/or refitting.
We will, where reasonably practicable, inform the customer of any expected charges before proceeding.
Making a Warranty Claim
To make a warranty claim, please contact Team Impulse and provide:
Your name and contact details.
Vehicle registration.
Approximate date of installation or repair.
Details of the equipment or work involved.
A description of the fault or issue.
We may request photographs, videos or other information to assist with an initial assessment.
The vehicle or equipment may need to be returned to our workshop for inspection. Warranty work must normally be carried out by Team Impulse unless otherwise agreed in advance.
Third-Party Manufacturer Warranties
Some products are covered by a manufacturer's warranty in addition to any warranty provided by Team Impulse.
Manufacturer warranties are subject to the individual manufacturer's terms and conditions. Where appropriate, we may assist with a warranty claim, but we cannot guarantee the outcome of a manufacturer's warranty assessment.
Statutory Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Warranty Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or limit your statutory rights.
Where you are a consumer, your legal rights under applicable UK consumer law remain unaffected by this warranty.
In particular, the warranty periods stated above should not be interpreted as limiting any statutory rights or remedies that may apply beyond those periods.
Commercial Customers
Where work is carried out for a business or commercial customer, different terms may apply depending on the nature of the transaction and any agreed quotation, invoice or written terms.
Where applicable, the agreed terms will take precedence over this general warranty policy.
Policy Updates
Team Impulse reserves the right to update this Warranty Policy from time to time. The version applicable to a particular installation or repair will generally be the version in effect at the time the work was carried out, subject to any specific terms agreed with the customer.
